About Us

My interest in leather began with my love of shoes and boots. I am a big fan of American made heritage style boots from the likes of Alden, Wolverine, Red Wing, Oak Street Bootmakers, and so many others. Evolving from routine conditioning and shining of my footwear to making a work apron, my dog’s collars and leashes, on into shoe repair. I was fortunate to serve an apprenticeship with a 3rd generation cobbler near Atlanta, Georgia. During that time I soaked up as much of my teacher’s 40 plus years of experience as I possibly could. I still spend time at his shop from time to time because I believe that the learning never stops.

With my dog Zannah by my side, I find zen working in my shop with vintage tools, many of which I have refurbished myself, breathing life back into whatever needs repair and keeping alive the spirit of craftsmanship.

My name is Seth and I’ll be the one taking care of your project from beginning to end. Making repairs has been a part of my life since I was young working in the garage with my father and grandfather. I quickly developed an inclination for efficiency and a dislike for waste. These traits kept my gun battery operational as an artillery mechanic in the Marine Corps where I learned to stay operational with limited resources.

One of the most common things I hear from customers is the love they have for their shoes, bag, belt… and I totally relate.

Distinctly I can remember buying my first pair of top quality shoes. It was a pair of black bluchers made by Alden for Brooks Brothers. These shoes are still in my closet and have taken steps in over a dozen countries in the course of my travels. They have been faithful to my feet during special events too numerous to mention.

Now I want to know from you…
